TRADING BLOG EP. 61 - THE END OF A WINNING STREAK
I have been on a bit of winning streak lately – you can attribute it to luck, or skill. I like to think skill… but today, that streak came to an end. On the S&P 500 I took 2 trades – one loss, and one winner. The loss was very silly as I took the position before the 10:00 AM news release. I never trade news or like to be in trades during news, so that was a rule that I broke.
After getting stopped out with the news spike, I re-entered the market because the trade idea was still valid. I got short & took the market down to the lower extremes of the day, where I secured 75% of the position & let the rest run at breakeven, incase the market would like to go further. Even though I took a loss, I was able to make it back with my winning trade.
